Nope not legal here. Pistols have to be straight walled cartridges .357 or larger.

You have no idea what you're talking about. AR pistols are totally capable firearms for hunting where legal. And with the wide selection of calibers, match grade barrel manufacturers, and sights/optics available, I'd say they can be FAR more accurate and easier to shoot accurately than the traditional .357 or .44mag revolver or 12 gauge shotgun with slugs.

Id put my bolt action 12g shooting sabots against any AR pistol in an accuracy contest with shots taken at 100, 150, and 200yds......any day everyday

I will admit that when I mentioned shotguns with slugs I was referring more towards average Joe Shmoe with his box stock Remington 870 and cheapo rifled slugs. I have no doubt that a purpose built slug gun can be quite accurate, but AR pistols and SBR's can be sub-moa shooters as well.
I have hunted a few years with a 12" barreled 6.8 SPC SBR that was pushing 85 grain TSX out to 2900+ FPS. Effective deer killing range is longer than I can shoot around here, somewhere over 200 - 300 yards. I use it at sub 100-yard ranges and killed 8 or 10 deer with it.
If you drop the stock and vert grip and you would have a nice accurate deer hunting pistol. I would stick with 6.8 or .300 blackout. I have not shot a AR pistol but would assume you would need a good rest to prop on.
