LtCol Herrington-Clemens Base Commander and Steve Cooper of the CMP were very accommodating. Col HC even found us a spot with antenna support structures (trees).
W00T!
Google earth the base we will be at the baseball diamond in the southeast of the base. One hundred yards from the RV park restrooms and on the base proper.

W00T!.
See? Now aren't you glad you listened to me whan I told you to take off the feed store overalls, wipe the tobacco off of your chin, put on a pair of shoes and comb your hair?

There's a lot to do. We gotta get organized.
AFM is going to try get us a special event call sign and I guess I am going to have to organize the field part of things.
I'll break out a folding type tent that should provide shade and rain protection. I'll also snag a 500' spool of wire, I have 14 each 4' mast sections, guying and pegs for any masting requirements, a couple of PRC 320s and if anyone wants to shoot and need a rifle let me know. I'll also break out about 1800' of paracord and if anyone has any other ideas let me know.
WHat kind of rigs are you guys going to bring?
I'll also bring a pretty damned good sized cooler and stock ot with beer and soda.
If anyone else can bring a barbecue please do so. Chow is generally sketchy at Perry.
One other thing, generally the Marines are bored after hours as the army guys stay off post but the Marines live there. After the shooting stops you would be amazed how much work you can get out of a couple of bored Marines for a burger, scoop of potato salad and a beer or two.
