I looking to build a couple of repeaters from ICOM Mobiles. I need a ICOM OPC-617 Cable, but want to make a few for cheap or buy clones... I cant get in contact with the guy who was making them. They near $100 from icom for this DB9 to 11pin connector. Maybe someone knows where I can get some of these 11 pin connectors that plugs into connector J6 on the board?
It looks like a MOLEX Picoblade but i dont think it is because of the polarization ears.

Bosko, if you decide not to roll your own here is a non-OEM source that offers the same specs for $42.95

The guy who owns GMRS Outlet is good people. He, along with Tom at
www.reddogradios.com are two of my favorite sources of radio stuff
I have a TYT mobile that uses that same connector in a 6 pin config...
Took me HOURS to find that damn plug!
After scouring my Mouser catalog and having no luck, I stumbled across a picture of one on Google's image search. Apparently they're pretty common connectors in the radio helicopter world... Who knew?
blwngazkit thanks! I just ordered a couple of the non crimp... Thank god they have thoes because the tool is $800!
CJan_NH - thanks for the links. i just ordered a few things form them!
Happy to help
Let me give you an idea about what kind of guy Tom from RedDog is: He has been on the lookout for Icom F40GT portables for me. They are no longer made, but I have standardized on them because they use the same chargers and battery packs as my other ham portables. He gets used ones in frequently though, and he refurbs them for me with new cases, internal parts, bench tuning etc. Recently he sold me a refurbed radio, a few antenna adapters and batteries, and a couple of Icom tri-chem chargers for my new Lithium Ion battery packs. Long story short, he sent me a $400 order
without prior payment, and he instructed me to try out the radio to make sure I liked it first. He told me that if I liked it to send him a check "whenever I got a chance". As expected the radio was flawless, so instead of making him wait for a check I paid with Visa via PayPal.
Not too many companies in this day and age still operate like that. We have a good business relationship, and we trust each other. With Tom it's not about the money-he legitimately wants you to be happy, and he will do whatever it takes to make sure you are
He and the owner of GMRS Outlet borrow each others inventory all the time, and it's all done on a handshake built on trust. I'm very happy to be a customer at both places.
Don't overlook you can solder the crimpie ones too...
Well, until solder is banned by the envirowackies...
