I'm looking to get a new reel soon and i'm leaning towards a revo inshore. I have a revo high speed model and it's been a good reel. When i bought it i planned to fish freshwater but i've only fished saltwater. Anybody use one?

I can't speak for that specific reaal, but I've had an Abu Garcia spincast reel for almost 6 years, only saltwater use, and it lasted longer than a 6 month old penn reel.

I primarily use spincast reels for salwater though, 99% of the time.

I have Revo S that I got in '08 and its the best reel I've ever put my hands on. I just picked up another one yesterday when I was at Academy.

The Revo Inshore is a really good reel. However I would go with the Shimano Curado because it is just that much better. This is one of the best low profile baitcasters for use in salt and freshwater. I have several Abu Garcias but this is and will always be my go to reel. If you ever have the chance to test one out or use one, I HIGHLY recommend it. You wont look at any other reel once you try it. It has quickly become the favorite for every serious fisherman I know from bass in fresh water to speckle trout and redfish in saltwater.

I had one years ago and the thought has crossed my mind to get rid of all the stuff i have and go with all shimano stuff. I'm in no hurry so i'll probably shop around and look at just about everything.

If you get a Curado you will be thanking me later, that is a promise. They also have the citica which is basically the same reel but without all the high quality parts for about 50$ cheaper. I may not be the biggest help when it comes to these AR forums because I dont get to shoot that much, however I do fish on a weekly basis and have tried tons of gear. I never gave into all the Shimano hype until I bought my Curado after a whole lot of research and it is definitely the best buy I have ever made. I also have a Revo S which is a good reel for freshwater bass, but it still doesnt compare to my Curado especially when I take it to the marsh for those hard fighting redfish.
