Halffast Publishing, the company that brought you Lights Out, is working on a collection of survival fiction short stories as one of its projects. We want to invite you to submit works to be considered for inclusion in this work. The deadline for submissions is January 31, 2012. However, any story submitted by October 31, 2011, will receive a constructive review by one of our staff. Please submit your works to Submissions@HalffastPublishing.com . Feel free to post this anywhere you think there might be interest.
Thank you.

LOL, the good part of the book IS a short story. really, they could edit out the second part and it wouldn't break my heart.

Are you looking for any particular angles? Also, will accepted authors be paid?

maybe I should clean up Lottery and submit it, or at least finish Northern Eclipse or Refugees. Decisions, decisions.

As long as the stories have a SHTF type angle, we will consider them. We don't want to squash anyone's creativity by posing specific limits on what or how big or small the stories have to be.

Yes, the authors will be paid a percentage based on the percentage (calculated by word count) that their story represents of the whole work.
