Anyone read it or reading it? Thoughts?

I read it. It read like an alternative history style book. Perceived anti Christian slant. IMHO. Some good combat, characters and detail. But as a whole the implausibility took me out of it.

Ralph Peters writes a good tale but there are better books in the genre. I too was taken out by the rather implausible nature of the book but I do get the point of cutting off extremism. I personally like the "Assassin" series from Robert Ferrigno.

I read it over the weekend. The title had me all jazzed, but what a let down. This has to be one of the worst books I've ever wasted my time and money on. I can't believe I was stubborn enough to even finish it, but I kept on thinking that something had to get better. It never did. Don't waste the money on it.
