Colorado deer hunters, i have a license question
Dad and I applied for deer licenses (general for 1st choice, private land for 2nd) in unit 70.
Dad got a tag in the mail today - it's blue, divided into three sections, mentions a total cost of $339 or whatever the cost was, but never does it actually mention that it's a deer tag, or what sort of deer tag it is.
I haven't recieved anything - I assume i didn't draw - but this thing he recieved looks like a deer tag; it just doesn't tell me what type it is.
What does a deer tag look like nowadays?
It's the habitat stamp that you need for the license. The drawing results won't be up until the first week or so in June, so you will get your tag after that.
I got mine a couple of weeks ago.

Shouldn't I have also recieved a habitat stamp, then, since this isn't the actual deer tag?
Yes, you should have. They require the habitat stamp to validate the big game license. I got my habitat stamp in the mail about two weeks after I did the online application.
How long ago did you apply and did you buy it. It was an extra $5 plus the license cost.

I applied for my license and my dad's at the same time online (he's not a computer guy) a couple days before the deadline and the printouts for both of us are the same, same license types and choices, same total costs....mail comes to same post office.......maybe it will show up today.
My buddy did get his before I did. Well I guess it depends on how they send them out.
Now we just have the long wait until June.
I will be out there first season for elk.
Update:
Both dad and I missed the draw. We recieved our refunds last week.
The bright side is that we can focus on elk.
