It looks like I have a pretty good chance of getting to hunt an Aoudad Sheep in Trans-Pecos Texas this weekend. I have never hunted any big game before, and have a couple of questions.
My rifle is a 7mm Rem Mag, is this big enough? I have access to a .300 short mag also, would that be any better?
On average, how much weight am I looking at packing out after I quarter it?
How long will I have to get the meat out, and on ice, since it will most likely be HOT?
Any general tips from anyone that has BTDT?
Thanks in advance.

I can only comment that both rifles will be more than enough for the aoudad. it's gonna be a hot week.
