I would like to know if seeds can be vacuum sealed for later use and what are the pros and cons.
Thanks

Tag for follow up. I am interested in this as well.
i would think that vacuum sealing them would kill them since they are still alive, but in a "stasis" mode.
But I'm no expert so i would like a definitive answer....

i thought that I had read that was a bad idea as the seeds still need O2 to remain viable, something like the seeds are hibernating but still "alive" until they are planted and germinate.

I doubt it can hurt them. I've bought seeds sealed in mylar pouches and they germinate just fine

were they vacum sealed (or sealed with O2 absorbers) with a lack of ozygen or just sealed in a mylar bag?
I leave mine in their original packets or seeds I have saved in small manila coin envelopes and put them in the fridge in a tubberware container with some silica gel mositiure absobers and they are always GTG.
