I always hear great things about these, but I'm confused between the O and M series.

What would be best for a weekend campout or an intensive hike? I know one of the two is aimed towards exercise/training, but I have no clue which one is meant for more abuse.

Thanks.

I know you asked about Underarmour but I've had a lot of luck with these from Russell Athletic. I found them at Academy. Russell Athletic Performance boxer brief

They make a longer version that goes down nearly to the knee.

Not sure, but I used Nike Pro Fit over Under Armour when I boxed. Training as a Golden Gloves fighter I was more comfortable and had better mobility. Oh, and they're less expensive.

I would say a 5 hour boxing training day is a good way to test any type of clothing.

Was just on the Under Armour site, and the only real difference I see is that the M series has no fly, and the O series does. No idea why a company would make a pair of men's underwear without a fly, but Under Armour does.

O= Original. I wear these when I run and play basket ball. Good ventilation, wicking, support, etc. They don't get swampy, sweaty, sag, and stretch like plain old FTL or Hanes cotton/poly boxer briefs. I had to buy one size bigger than is recommended by the numbers on the label.

M= Mesh- It's gonna get all breezy up in your business. No personal experience with these. Might not be the best for winter time wear. Probably more suited to intense summer time workouts in the heat.

O= Very comfortable, lightweight (overall wear)
M= dont like them but they offer a lot of support for the boys (good for running, sports)
T= The most comfy, feel like cotton (nice to sleep in)

Overall, the best pair of briefs I own are made by Ex Officio

I was a huge fan of the UA Boxer Briefs, until I tried the Ex Officio. You won't look back.

I wear the original boxer jocks and love them. Very comfortable. The mesh version sucks. I also own the ex officio brand and they are not as good quality or as comfortable and they don't hold up as well. I have pairs of boxer jocks that are 5 years old that look new.

Skip the mesh if you have a choice. The material catches on your nails and hair. The original and the heatgear series are good. It's all I wear year round.

I have some of the UA heatgear boxers in desert tan I picked up on a clearance shelf at Cabelas a couple of years ago. I liked them so much I swapped out all my old undies for the UA. It is all I wear unless I am hiking in the very cold weather, then it is Smartwool boxers all the way. I do get confused by the new UA models and those damn letters that designate types. I wish they would leave the good stuff alone....

i wear the mesh box/breifs by "jockey".
20$ per 2 pack. One set is 2+ years old..one i just got ( smaller size due to weight loss).

if your legs/pants rub you can hear the noise..but they are what i wear when i hike, train,,etc with zero issue.

I tried a pair of those UA boxers about 10 years ago.

Then I tried these:

These are by far more comfortable and easier to clean in the field.
