I have a bunch (80 gals.) of Kerosene stored and I am wanting a good Kerosene Cook Stove. It will be for a bug in situation. I did find this one but it seems to be a little pricey.

stove

Any ideas? Is there a simpler way to go? I do have a few Sterno cans but would like a longer term stove. If on my BOL, I would use my wood stove.

Thanks,

Wow, that's basically a scaled down kerosene heater. Cool idea.

This is the one I have and you can't go wrong. Makes a great heater as well. Everyone should have one of these.

Don't get the Alpaca, piece of crap. I had one a few years ago and used it maybe 4 times and then threw the thing away. Would not turn off and also the flame is open and you have to be very careful around the unit. Cheap made and dangerous.

I have an Optimus nova multi fuel stove but it's more geared towards camping and backpacking. I plan on using it to bug in or out, along with a master rebuild kit and a regular rebuild kit. I will be running it on kleen heat 1k kerosene so the smell is kept down. Multi fuel stoves like the Optimus nova, primus omnifuel, and msr Internationale run on diesel gas kerosene some run on butane and propane. Some can run on alcohol too. Good to have on the run if you want to cook without wood smoke giving away your location and you can use whatever is around.
