Green Tents
Are there any lite weight 1 or 2 man backpack tents that are OD, Foliage or even Camo, something like this for less than?
Every lite weight tent I seen so far seems to be silver, yellow or grey. The few green ones I've seen have been on International web sites.
The few green and camo ones I've seen are either heavy 5lbs plus, cheapo's or both.
Thanks for looking these up, I did see these, but I should of been more specific about the tent.
I would like one that has an extended rain fly full cover rain fly.
The extra cover area is great for storing gear outside the tent but out of the rain and it also makes a good covered area for cooking in the rain.
I may have to up my spending, but 200 up seems like a lot for a small 1-2 man tent.

Eureka One Man Combat Tent - New - Woodland Camo
7.5 pounds with repair kit, don't know how far down you could strip it and keep it functional.
Size/ weight and money have opposite effects on UL outdoor gear 90% of the time. Yes Ive seen ditty bags and pouches made from USPS shipping bags. But the eureka mentioned in the post above is good and cheap and will do what it needs. If you look for extended flys, 2 person, but price under 200, you will not find much. So be it not having a fly, right now Golite has a 50-70% off certain items and some of those are shelters, the shangri-la 1 body AND nest would come to just under $120 shipped, but they are now out of the nest, a coworker bought one earlier however. I bought another nest to go with my other Shangrila 3. Even that shelter body and nest would be @210 shipped, which is a kick ass price. My daughter enjoys hanging out in the tipi. If you want extended "fly coverage" Just hang a tarp, but you will find that when you go UL you start to miss out on creature comforts, hence my "light weight, not UL" thinking.

EDIT again to add photo of one of mine with a Kifaru supertarp and annex for size.
Tarp tents and Big Agnes tents are blue/green color.
Alot of the MSR 2010-2011 tents are OD green.
Sierra Designs Origami 2

I saw some green and camo 2 man tents at the local Army Navy store today, they were made in Houston, TX and the weight was 3.5lbs. They were around $40 if I remember correctly. I don't remember the brand but could always go back and look again. One was a standard "A" shape tent and the other was a dome.
Eureka Timberline?

Appreciate the replys.
I might have to up my money count, but hate doing it.
I'm going through the links provided.
The tents in Houston Tx are probably TexSport. Ok for casual camping but wouldn't want to get caught in the rain in one.
Like one of post mentioned, what I want for what I want it for may not exist, I'll keep looking for a bit.
Just curious why these tent makers don't make more tents that blend in, doesn't have to be camo, just not stand out like a pimple. I kinda thought being environmentally friendly would fall to visually friendly also, being one with the environment, I believe that's the right term, red and yellow isn't.
I have a Walrus 2 person backpack tent I bought 15 years ago, it's kind of white / silverish, cooler in the Summer though. Very quick setup, well made and probably about 6-7 lbs. A little on the heavy side though.
I'm wanting to get several of the other green tents for GHB's when we travel out of town several hundred miles away. Plus, do some hiking and camping with the family with them to get them and me for that matter used to them.
I prefer the one person tents that way everyone has a tent no matter what.
Anyway thanks.
There's always green dye in a trash can full of water, or even spray paint if you can find some that's safe for nylon.
I had one of these for 10 or more years of heavy use camping with Boy Scouts and just lots of use. I would recomend this to everyone.
Awesome tent, but a little on the heavy side.

I thought about this, I wasn't sure if that would affect the water proofing or not?
Anyone know about this?
SnugPak is what your looking for.
