I have a 250 dollar gift certificate for cabelas.

For once in my life I can't decide what to get.

Any suggestions.

Sounds like you're pretty well set with the gear you already have so you can send it my way.

Sounds like you need to go to manland Cabelas and walk around a little bit.

$250, I have faith you'll find something! ahhahaha

I just picked up some Howard Leight noise canceling ear pro for < $50

I have $25 card and can't decide. I can add money to it, but would prefer to just find something for ~ the card value.

I'm surprised no one has come up with this...

Buy some nice gift cards, and send them to me.

I took inventory of my bobs for the wife and I and made a list of everything I was short of gear wise with the 75 dollar card I was given this year. Ended up spending WAY over the card but at least I have a stove, water purifier and all the smaller bits to make life a bit easier. I refuse to buy ammo at Cabelas just because Surplus Ammo and Arms is right up the road from them.

Scrounge around the used guns. Most of them are overpriced, but every once in awhile you run across a deal.

For instance, last year I picked up an East German Makarov for $175 & a Rock Island M1903 for $150 that had been sporterized, but would be easy to put back to original.

Other than that, I don't know..... Hit the Bargain Cave & see what you can find?

ETA: I read further & see you're deployed. Crap. Sorry I didn't see that.

Well......hmm.....

I don't know, they're overpriced on a lot of stuff... I guess I'd just save it until I got back, or start looking at the gun library online to find a nice toy to put it towards to have when you get back.

They tend to have some clothes that are top notch. You might be able to make use of some of them even while deployed. Depending on where you are you might really like some of their thermal longjohns. I believe their silk longjohns are relatively safe around heat and flame compared to the synthetics, if that's a concern for you.

They have some damned good socks.

Then there's all the jerky, sausages, cheese and fruit cake they have this time of year.
