doesn't look like too bad of a price.

How does this ammo compare to Federal 550 bricks wal-mart sells for like $10.80???

The blazer I have seen is plain lead bullets , the stuff I have (5 or 6 years back) was pretty good stuff, excellent reliability , much better than some of the bulk but like most all rimfire ammo , some semi guns run on it ,some don't.
At that price ,jump on it

I have had good luck with it. I liked the pre-atk blazer a little better though.

Thanks!

What the hell, I ordered 5K plus 200 Estate 12ga slugs and 1K Wolf MC 7.62x39 HP for the stash.

Love the 4 pay plan

ETA - Hehehe....SG customer service called me about my order this morning. It seems that the 100+ lbs of ammo I ordered requires a little more than $10 shipping charges! LOL

Anyone else have this happen?

I haven't even received a notice, and my order is still "processing."

The item isn't on their site anymore, so they may have sold out but still took orders for it.

Still shows as in stock for me. My membership had expired but I ordered 5,000 rounds and a muzzle loader, renewed my membership, got thefree shipping and used the coupon to come in $1.00 what it would have been without the renewed membership. I still have a couple of bricks of .22 in a box somewhere but though I have a .22 rifle and a revolver along with two Ruger Mark II pistols I haven't shot them in years. Looks like I'll have to take up small gamehunting again. This will be a lifetime supply of .22 they way I have been shooting these guns.

Yes, they sent me two notices (at different times) each with a quantity of 1.

I assume due to weight they are shipping them one case per.

OK, I received a second notice for the other case this morning.

I bought a case when I first got the email about it. Went back a couple days later and tried to buy another case.. One guy on another forum bought 25 cases, the greedy bas'tard.

BTW, I've shot several cases of this ammo over the years and it is good plinking ammo.

I can't speak for accuracy (I'm not a great shot :-)), but my Sig Mosquito (picky eater!) and my Ciener kit have no problems with CCI Blazer .

For the money I have found it to be my best bet for plinking ammo.

Took this coyote in October with the CCI Blazer

99 yard shot, confirmed with range finder. One shot, well two because it was still alive when I walked up to it so I had to put one in the brain.

Wrote about it here

Nice suppressed Ruger.
Not knocking your ammo buy. I think you did well.

That said. Got any Sub-Sonic set back for the shift?

Do or did you notice any difference between Subs and what you just ordered?
Have you shot both/any of them before?

Myself I shoot standard velocity for the most part out of my suppressed 22 and have some Sub's set back for when they are really needed, due to the cost of sub rounds.

That is the stock photo right off Sportsmans Guide site, it isn't the OP's. Kind of looks like the slabside bull to my eyes.

Ran great in my modified Ciener kit AR today. Only one failure to feed in 250 rounds fired today. Accuracy seemed as good.

I just ordered 10k more.

New $10 coupon for orders over $99 SPG2275

I have been getting Blazer locally, but it looks like that they have changed it again. Back when ATK took over it went from a pointy bullet style to a more rounded nose style, now I am seeing the pointy style again.

I have a couple thousand of each, and the rounded nose stuff runs like a frikken dream in my ceiner/ar and 10/22 and are pretty consistent, the pointy ones have a heavy wax lube and don't seem to feed as well, not wanting to chamber fully, and don't sound as consistent. Someone on another board said that the pointy style bullets were slightly bigger around at the driving bands, which might be good for accuracy out of a ceiner.

I picked up 10K of this. Shoots really well in my 10/22. Also through my Mark III. It will take at least 6 months to burn through this stuff.

Wow, Sportsman Guide tried to screw me. That's never happened before to anyone here..

Well, I ordered my second 10k of the .22 LR CCI Blazer ammo on 12/14 and received notice that it was in stock and I would receive it in 5-7 days for a total of $198.92. same as the first 10k I received in Novemnber.

Then, on Saturday 12/22 I receive a notice in the mail from Sportsman's Guide notifying me that the ammo was now backordered and I would be charged $332.92 when it shipped soon.

I emailed SG and asked WTF.

This is their reply.

Unfortunately, the e-mail special price had expired at the time you placed the order. The specials are only good for 1 week. The total charge will be for the 332.92. Please contact us back if you would like the order canceled. I apologize for any inconvenience.
If you have any questions, please contact us.

Thanks for shopping the Guide!

So, I ask why was I able to place the order on their site then and to cancel my order if they aren't going to honor the original price.

Their reply.

I've cancelled your order. You weren't charged, as they were on backorder.

I sure hope the days isn't near when $332.92 for 10K of Blazer .22lr looks like a good deal!

Good thing you spotted that email and could back out.

Typical SG antics!

The same thing happened to me, although when I got the snail mail backorder card it just had the $300+ cost. I e-mailed and they said there prices haven't been that low in the past few years. I replied that I have an e-mail order confirmation with the price and I attached a copy of the confirmation. I'm waiting for the next reply.

If you call them up, talk to a supervisor and really put the screws to them, they WILL give you the advertised price. BTDT

Thats good to know. They sent an e-mail back saying those who got the cheaper price shouldn't have and they can't give it to me. I have been fairly cordial so far in my e-mails but now I think they deserve a phone call

Now I feel bad, as I got 10,000rds on that deal. I am going to go ahead and send them a check for the difference.... NOT!

A mistake that went on as long as it did and had as many people get that deal and they didn't catch on sooner? WTF? I knew I should have ordered 20,000

Did they make the same lame excuses on the phone?

I called during my lunch hour and was on hold for about 5 minutes. When I got someone on the phone I asked to speak to the supervisor. While I never did get the supervisor, I did explain that I knew of a number of people (arfcommers) who did receive the reduced price and that I had an e-mail confirming the price. They gave me the reduced price. I will add that they were cordial on the phone and although I was not going to be a push over, I didn't have to be a jerk either. Maybe call again stating that you know others were getting the price, be firm but be polite. Maybe it will work. If not, mention something about the Federal Trade Commission policy on "bait and switch" advertising tactics. It dosen't really apply here but they probably don't know that.

Rec'd my 5K at $94.97 this week. Similar experiences with different price on snail mail confirms, but a couple of courteous phone calls and all was corrected. SG can be frustrating at times, but I have bought some ammo at great prices from them.
