How do you keep from getting a sore throat when camping in cold weather? I did not get cold but, it seems that sleeping outdoors in cold weather I wake up with a very sore throat everytime. Any tips to avoid this?

You must be snoring.
I would either try breathing strips, or some type of moisture retaining hood to keep the warm moist air close to your face.
Hydrate. It's from your mucus membranes drying out. Not much you can do besides hydrate. Maybe sleep with some sort of covering over your face (ie, ski mask or bandana) to keep all the moisture from your exhalations from leaving?
Remember, cold is usually extremely low humidity, so you can lose water and not realize it.
I use to get a sore throat when cold weather camping until I started wearing a bandana, scarf or a shemah (however it's spelled) over my mouth when I sleep. Since then I haven't woke up with one - and we camp in some cold weather too.
I also make sure I drink plenty of warm water or hot chocolate, not beer, not soda, or coffee before bed. By the time you go to bed you're dehydrated, by getting hydrated you stay warmer.
yes I snore i figured thats what it was. I will try the bandana method on the next trip. Thanks for the tips.
