 SAMS Club for prepping?

I've been prepping for some time and have used the commissary on base for food stuffs and bought super pails online from various places. My wife asks about Sams club for #10 cans of stuff that commissary's don't offer and bulk stuff. I went to the website and can get 15 bucks off being military and what blew my mind was all the prep stuff they have from Augason farms. They have tons (literally) of stuff. I can get hard red wheat 45 Lbs sealed in a 5 gallon bucket from Sam's for 20.00. It costs me over 10 bucks just for the bucket, mylar, and O2 absorber That's like half what I was paying online. In fact the number one best selling item for all of Sam's yesterday was a 3000 dollar 4 person one year supply of food and today it's # 10! Must be a whole lot of people out there that are closet preppers like most of us. Anyone else using Sam's as I wish I would have spotted this sooner!

I've been buying Augeson Farms foods from them online. Free shipping. A 2-person 6 month supply of food was $890 delivered.

They do have alot of stuff..though they bury it a little on their website. I noticed they had the best 55gal waterdrum/pump combo price I could find.

I buy all of our office supplies and such for work, so I go in almost daily and walk the isles looking for deals and markdowns first thing in the morning. I have scored some great deals on things in the past. Not much though since I started prepping a couple of months ago. I was able to score 3 dozen 100+ OZ cans of Pineapple Chunks for $1.41 each a couple weeks back. Still had 2 years on the best buy date.

We buy a lot of stuff from samsclub.com.
Everything we have received from Augason Farms has been GTG.
I post about samsclub all the time. - They have a bigger selection of AF products than Costco.

Sams Club is cheaper than buying directly from Augason Farms, but the items ship directly from Augason Farms to our house.
and everything we have ordered has been fresh packed. The last case of Morning Moos we ordered was canned the month before we ordered it.
Morning Moos and their Country Fresh Non-Fat milk are both good tasting products.

If you are anywhere near Atlanta, I also recommend you contact the local LDS cannery for items like wheat and oats.
A case of Hard Red or White Wheat is $21.00 (6x5.8lbs = 34.8lbs) ~$0.60/lb. - packed in #10 cans for LTS.
A really good deal is their dried apple slices @ $5.70 per #10 can.
Look here to see what they have and the prices.

GA - Tucker (Atlanta)
Phone (770) 908-5782
Address 4823 N Royal Atlanta Drive
Tucker, Georgia 30084

You can also order from them online here.
They include shipping in their prices online.

The price is good, but unless they drop ship to your local Sam's or Your local Sam's stocks it, shipping is a killer. At least to my zip...Estimated Shipping:$23.30

I think he is talking about this.

Enter "augason" in the samsclub search box, they are always adding new items.
and other good search is "freeze dried"

None of the stores in Texas carry any of these products.
Some out West/NorthWest do.
YMMV

The Augason Farms products from Sams ship directly from Augason Farms in Utah.
Shipping will vary, but usually if you buy 2-3 shipping is better.
I usually put them in my cart and check the shipping as I add each additional item.

IF they will let non-members use the cannery.

The one in Houston will NOT last time I checked.

You do have to call first to check.
The one in San Antonio does.
It is up to the people running the cannery.

You might want to give them a call, the locals here had mentioned that the cannery in Houston was closed for a bit.
