Thanks guys. It's a great place to live.

Being retired and being able to fish this place two or three times a week is my dream come true.

Great pics. I am considering a trip next spring to fly fish this area. What areas would you recommend to try?

On Taneycomo?

There is a hatchery on the north side just below the dam. There are 3 outlets that flow into the lake from it. Outlet #1 is in pic #13. The trout love to congregate at those points. If the generators are running you'll have high water and the only place you can wade and fish is near those outlets. If the gens are off you can wade the entire upper end of the lake and catch them nearly everywhere. You can wade all the way across.

Bottom line: Start at the dam and work your way downstream. One of the best flies to use when the gens are off is a crackleback. If gens are running use streamers such as woolly buggers.

Here's a couple more pics taken when the gens were off.

This one shows outlet #1

This one shows outlets #2 (center) and #3 (toward the top).
