After about ten years of trying. We don't have a boat so that hampers our ability to catch nice fish. Work called wednesday morning asking if i could come work some overtime and i told them no. I had fish to catch. It was about 1p.m. and i was using a bone colored super spook jr. Third cast i let it sit after it hit the water and twitched it a few times and BAM! The fight was on. He measured 24" and put up a good fight on a light action rod. I know that ain't big for you guys, but it feels good after all these years. We've never caught anything real big at the spot we were at so i was suprised. What made it better was that about five seconds before he hit my dad was telling me i wouldn't catch anything on "those damned lures".

i'll agree. we don't get to go many places that have bigger fish since we're stuck to the shore. i'll probably never catch a monster but that's not why i go. i go for the memories with my father.
