Tarpon, snook and trout...just short of a slam

Fished Monday with Mark (of DOA Lures).

We jumped a tarpon apiece, and then caught a good number of fish on DOA Lures.

We moved and then I got about a 10-12 pound snook:

After that I sight-cast about a 15-pound Jack Crevalle. (no pics)

We then moved to the other side of the flats, and murdered the trout. Many were small, but the best were 2-3 pounds.

nice what bait is that you caught the trout on?
Also what kind of DOA lures? Just the shrimp?

We fish strictly DOA Lures.

The tarpon were on a white/red baitbuster and a CAL curl-tail on a red jig head.

Snook was on the CAL curl-tail/jighead.

Jack was sight-cast with a DOA shrimp.

All the trout were on the DOA shrimp.

The hottest color right now is the glow/gold shrimp or CAL (if you can get it).

Nice work, that looks like a very fun day.

I haven't been having much luck this year, been a strange one for me in the TB area.

Will try again this Friday!!

Yeah there are still some big snook up in the freshwater creeks in St pete/Pinellas park.

Trout have been on fire around Ft Desoto and the flats at the skyway.

Oh wow , that really makes me miss living in FL right there.

Well done.

Yeah , I always had great results with DOA lures. Mostly the shrimp for trout and the swimming mullet for snook.

i used a different approach for reds - with good results also.

lately here it's Mackinaw trout and Pike - and fun too.

Score on the Hat-trick !!!!!!!
