Roanoke River Striper fishing (pix)

Went Striper fishing on the Roanoke River today.
Put in at Weldon, NC @ around 7 AM this morning and we caught about 22-25 fish. Not knocking them dead by any means, but still an enjoyable day of fishing.
We took about 5 keepers home with us. They have "interesting" slot size creel limits in NC. We caught a bunch that just missed (literally 1/8" to 1/16" from the 18" minimum), and a few keepers, along with some that were "oversized" and had to be tossed back.
Caught them on shad.
We're going back in about a week or so, and hope to get into them heavy.
First fish of the day-

They hit early and late. There's a midday lull between say 11-6PM.
We'll be back in a week or two....hopefully with more pix.
