 do braided lines go bad overtime from storage?

i have some fireline in my bag that has been there for a couple seasons that seems fine.

They should last about 5 years or more without problem.
Fibers used to make those lines are same ones used to make some balistic vest and balistic vest are usually good for 5+ years.

I've never had any issues storing them for a few seasons. I use 20 lb test fireline and love it. However, if it starts to fray after a season or two, which it will if you fish in heavy- weed lakes, then either cut off the worn down portion to where the line looks more fresh or consider respooling if you you don't have enough line left on your reel. Better safe than sorry if you happen to hook that fish of the season... Good luck out there.
