Is this a fossil paw print?

I found this yesterday while digging in my pond..looks like some kind of fossilized paw print

I say no.
Reason being the rock has been worn smooth and round, like a river stone. If that is the case the "paw print" should have been worn smooth too.
Every fossil I have ever found was in rough jagged stone, usually limestone.
I just think it is an interesting mark that has somehow been etched into the rock.
