Stihl Weedeater repair question.
I have a Stihl FS 55 string trimmer at my rural property. I guess the storms rocked some shelves and they fell into the trimmer and cracked the long shaft that attaches the cutter to the motor. Stihl calls it the drive tube. There is not a stihl dealer near there and I noticed that there are really not major parts available online. I am sure that I can do the work myself. Are these shafts interchangeable? There are some on Ebay but they do not say FS 55. Is there somewhere else I should look for parts? I have not taken it apart yet, is there anything else inside there that I may need to replace at the same time?

I would find out what the part numbers are from the ebay listings and then contact Stihl or a qualified distributor that you can find through the Stihl webbsite. Alot of the parts are interchangable but I would make a couple of calls before I spend the money
