IRR and TIG question
My wife is leaving the ANG and going into IRR. Her question that no one in her unit seams to be able to answer is how long do you have to hold your rank to keep it? She wants to know if she will drop down a grade in IRR and just incase she wants to get back in at some point in the future. She promoted to O4 in April of '10. Anyone know an answer?
Your best bet is to call a recruiter as they will definitely know the answer
She asked her unit Retention Office and they had no answer.
I don't know of anyone loosing rank moving when to the IRR. On the Army side, there's an IRR handbook that explains how the program works.
