Nevermind, just got the call that my waiver was denied
I think its crazy that the military would turn away a perfectly healthy applicant because of one sub-standard ear, but then again there is so may fresh high school grads trying to get in the military these days I guess there is no reason to accept anyone with anything wrong with them.

The end of your statement hits the nail on the head. Don't feel bad, there are college grads not being able enlist.
Thank you for your desire and attempt to enlist. Keep your documents on file and try again later. Trust me, enlistment goes in cycles; in a few years we will be throwing $30k, a Cadillac and a house at enlistees.
Is your ear really jacked up or did you get the shit end of the stick in the hearing booth?

My ear really is messed up, they let me retry in the booth by myself after everyone else had cycled through and the results came out almost exactly the same.
I have always wore hearing protection, I think that my hearing loss may be from a concussion I had in my teens, or possibly hereditary.
