Boot Suggestion/Reviews?
Does anyone have any good suggestions for a good boot for rucks, decent for running at times, field work, etc? A good all-around boot? I am thinking the Rocky S2V, New Balance OTB, or Belleville, though I haven't tried any of the three. I wear the Rocky C4T everyday and switch them out with the issued boots, but I think I need a new pair. Any advice?
Hot Weather- Nike
Rough terrain- Garmont
AllAround- Oakley
Rockys never really fit my feet that well.
Nike's are awesome for ruck marches. We rucked 15 miles today for PT... which lasted most of the morning. Once we were done, everyone in my group was dying of foot blisters. I didn't have any irritation on my feet at all. Thing is though, they are terrible for anything wet... rain will soak through them easily. I still love the fuck out of them they are so comfortable and light.
i like the oakleys. can get hot though and wear out faster than issue boots. great comfort
Haix P9's (I think they are called P91's now). http://www.haix-bootstore.com/ (link left cold)
Rocky S2V FTMFW!!!!!!!!!!
12 mile rucks, 25 milers, and average of 8-12 km patrols every day in Afghanistan and I have yet to get a blister from them, plus they're comfy as fuck!

+1
Oakleys work great for me. So I haven't tried anything else. A lot of my friends swear by Nikes... YMMV

I tried these on the other week and the arches felt way to far forward, or is this just me?
BlackHawk DesertOps. My buddy bought a pair of those when we were in Iraq. He wore them once and didn't like them so he sold them to me for cheap. They were the most comfortable boots I have ever worn. Try a pair on if you get the chance you might like them. The only downside I had was they wore out slightly quicker than the issue boots. They lasted me most of a deployment and a few months stateside.
I would avoid the Rocky S2V botts. We had a bunch of them issued to us and many of them fell apart within a month. Check out the Lowa boots. They are expensive but they hold up very well. I had a pair that lasted me through a year in Afghanistan.
Thy these for general use.
