Who's idea was it to put "AR15.COM" on the back of the BFL Shirts now?!?

Horrible Idea.

Just got my order of 3 shirts, to replace ones I wore holes in because I love them so much.

EXTREMELY DISSAPOINTED that they now say "AR15.COM" on the back.

Totally defeats the purpose and kills the mystique of the Bolt Face Logo, IMO.

Also renders the shirt unwearable (again, in my opinion) in public because I don't want people knowing what the BFL is. It's a secret I've guarded heavily since I started wearing the BFL a couple years ago.

So I tried to remove it off one of the shirts with an iron. Didn't work, just fucked it up and was an excersize in futility. I now have $50 of shop rags.

Needless to say, I'm a little bit pissed off right now.

Good thing you posted this, because I was going to order some.

ETA: Your referring to the transfer shirt?

The Avila's are away right now and can't elaborate however I can say that it was done due to bootleg t-shirts appearing with the BFL on them.

If you haven't talked to JLA yet, make sure to email him.

We'll get this resolved as quickly as possible and make sure you get exactly what you wanted.

Well, if the "official" ones all say ar15.com on them, where can we find the bootleg version?

Thanks very much!

Ms. Embroidery already contacted me and I am very pleased with the customer service. My "preban shirts" are on the way. Once again, ARFCOM ROCKS!!!!

Thanks Goatboy. You run a great site and really came through with stellar results here too.

I'm very happy (again).

Sorry guys...I must have spoiled the mystic....I touted, supported and told everyone that would listen about AR15.Com this past week at the NRA Annual Meeting.

Believe me, people in the know - know the BFL.

I have little doubt that my brothers and Mrs. Embroidery took real good care of you - they are a class act from start to finish.

So whats the endgame? Can they be had w/o the address, or just a more obtuse 'ARFCOM' on the back?

At this point we are looking into alternate solutions. In the meantime, the default will be to NOT have the site name on the shirts, and if you would like it added please send an email to Sales@AR15.com with your order number immediately after placing your order, requesting the site name on the back collar or sleeve.

Good to know...no shirts with the address for me.

Will there be a BFL logo only version brought back? If not, where do you find these bootlegs?

It appears that if you order one, unless you email and request for it to have the address on there then it WILL just have the logo on it.

Oh, but you can request it to be left off? Perfect...that works for me.

Thanks for the info

I think what they are saying is that the new standard is no web address, and that you will only receive them with the address if you specifically request it via e-mail after placing your order.

This may or may not piss of the ARFGods but...

I'm not sure how much flexibility there is in getting what I want on a case by case basis between shirt style, color, etc...

I'm giving serious thought to using the BFL design and making the shirt the way I want it on SonicShack or a similar site. Not to sell in a shop but because in the spirit of Burger King I want to "Have it my way". I even though about just cutting out a BFL stencil and spraypainting it on a shirt... figured it would never wear off... never has with any of the shirts I didn't want spray to get one but did accidentally.

I like the way the shirts from MagPul are laid out... the logo, not too large/relatively small, centered in the chest, possibly with that "roughed up" style/look, and maybe have either a black rifle silhouette or ar15.com centered on the back or on the sleeve... or both

I really don't like the way the ones in the store are laid out. The logo seems just a little too large and I think they look kind of weird on the breast v. centered.

Waiting for a bolt of lightning to strike me down...

We are in the process of setting up means to customize shirts just like that. Pick from a number of options, make your own shirt, and it will be done to those specifics! We're not talking down to the exact location (3" from my left armpit, and 4" from my waistline) but a number of generic options for customization!

More on that soon.

You're always such a tease. Sometimes you're almost as bad as the guys from MagPul.

FWIW, I just finished doing a vectored version of the BFL so if you need it I can send it out. I suspect you've already done this considering the various sizes already being used of the logo probably required something that could be scaled up and down...

but it's here if you needs it.
