Picture 41, showing Mr. Kessler, shows a veteran of D-Day from my regiment, the 116th Infantry. A Co, 1-116 (which is currently in Iraq), of the Virginia Army National Guard lost over 90% of their soldiers, wiping out most of the male population of Bedford, Va, where the modern D-Day memorial is located.
