 No receipt for my AR

I bought an Armalite AR-15 8 or 9 years ago. I no longer have the receipt for it as it burned up in a garage fire several years ago. What does that mean for me if I want to sell or trade my AR?

Unless it gets seized by the po po a la Katrina and they want a receipt to prove ownership to get it back.

Thanks, I just wasn't sure. I know you can trade and sell firearms all the time without any proof of ownership but I bought the AR when I was in law enforcement (as my personal rifle) so it has "For Law Enforcement Only" stamped on the receiver. I know the ban sunset years ago, just wondered if there would be any problems now with the stamp on it,

Stamps meaningless now under Federal law.
