Moved to CA - Online Small Business Question
I'm military and PCS'd to CA. My wife has an online business (works from home) registered in Montana and would like to continue to work in CA, but I advised her to not do any work down here until we are sure she can continue to do so without legal issues. Can she continue to run her MT registered business from our home in CA, or do we need to re-register the business in CA? I know that she doesn't have to change her residency to work here since I'm .mil, but I don't know about the business.

CA laws notwithstanding, she might need to file "out of state" papers with the Montana SecState. That's what I needed to do when I moved out of NC and kept my corp active.
Essentially what they want you to do is designate someone in-state to act as the legal contact for process servers. I used my attorney.
