Hey guys, I thought I'd ask here because I really have no knowledge of the knife specific laws for Utah(or anywhere for that matter), and I'm not sure where exactly to find them online.

I was thinking about getting a folding knife to put in my Camelbak when I go cycling on back roads in the Utah country. But like I said, I'm not sure what the legalities are for carrying a knife. So can anyone help inform me on the laws or point me in the direction of a good site that explains it well?

This probably seems like a dumb question to some, so excuse my ignorance. I just thought I'd ask to make sure.

Thanks.

You're good to go on carrying any knife you want. Most officers understand that a knife is a tool not a weapon.

Only time they may try to get you for carrying it concealed is if you had it or used it during the commission of a crime.

In my camelback that I wear while riding I have a tomahawk.
