H&K MP5 style clone Pistols and legally making them into SBRs
Anyone know if you wanted a SBR semi-auto version of a HK 94 would it be an easier route legally to get the tax stamp and add a stock to a pistol or get the stamp and chop down the 16" carbine barrel? Does it matter either way? I am looking at a couple options: 1.) take a MKE pistol with a 16" barrel and adding a stock and SBR the barrel down. 2.) buying a Vector pistol with a short barrel a adding a stock. I plan on getting the Tax stamp either way but know there is a lot of lingo where you can legally convert one way but then can't reverse the changes once they are made.
Short version: What's the easiest, safest legal way to create a semi auto version of an MP5 (or HK 94 with a short barrel)?
