When the 4473 gets resolved, you will know.

What he said. Several questions on the 4473 that specifically ask about past convictions, etc. You might run into some problems. Has the case already been decided? Were you charged with a felony DUI or was it only a misdemeanor DUI? If you were convicted and it went as a felony, "you no can own".

Drink at home or get a DD in the future! The cost of a DUI can pay for SEVERAL ARs!

If its not resolved, then you'll probably get a denial until it is.

Damn, well than if I already bought the lower, and its on its way, what happens when I get to the FFL dealer? Do I get my money back when the item is returned? What happens?

Were you convicted of a FELONY DUI. If so, forget it.

ARE YOU still UNDER INDICTMENT for a FELONY DUI? If so, forget it.

Call the ATF, see if they have some local friends to fill out the 4473 for you

I don't see why not even if you're convicted as long as its only a misdemeanor. A LOT of people in this country have a DUI conviction. I'm not supporting drunk driving in any way, shape, or form, but that's how it is.

Answering the questions honestly on the form will tell you if you can or not.

I got a mistormenor DUI 10 years ago when I was 18...the case was pending for 3 1/2 years... I ended up getting convicted a wreckless driving. I live in Illinois and we need a FOID card to own and purchase... They never revoked my FOID card and I bought several guns durring the pending case and many more after it was over. If its not a felony you should be ok and if your not volunterily seeking alcohol or drug treatment (i think)
I learned my hard lesson when I was 18...going to that house party was one of the worst mistakes of my life and cost me about 12 grand. Hope you did to...a cab or a walk home from the bar is alot cheaper and safer then a DUI and driving drunk. To this day more then 2 beers and my truck gets parked for the night and I find another way home.
