 Transfer of a receiver

Hi all, sorry if this is the wrong place for this... I thought I might get more serious responses here than in GD...

I understand that it is illegal for a person under 21 to purchase a stripped receiver from a FFL. My question is: Is it legal for a person under 21 to obtain a stripped receiver in a face-to-face transfer?

A recent thread in GD made me realize I don't know the answer to that question, and it might be useful to know :)

Thanks!

It's legal on the federal side... just have to comply with whatever state laws might be applicable in your state.

Thanks! My state is PA... I guess I'll have to research the state laws. My feeling is that it's good in PA if it's legal on the federal level, but better safe than sorry.
