I cut a wart off with some scissors, will it come back?

I had a wart ( my very first one and I'm 33) on the first knuckle of my middle finger on my left hand. Well while bored at work I took a pair of scissors to it and surprisingly it cut it right off. It bled for a few but now besides the scab it looks normal. Will the wart grow back?

Never had a wart, but they are caused by a virus, I believe.

It will come back.

Yup.

This time it will kill you though.

Dibs on guns, especially the SCAR.

I used to have a wart on my ring finger (left hand) and I cut it off with my pocket knife probably 20 different times before it finally stopped coming back, I dug and dug to get all the shit out each time, good luck, it's painful but worth it in my opinion.

you usually have to go deep to get rid of them, expect to see it again

It will come back. But now that you've removed a lot of tissue, it would be a good time to start some acid treatment like Compound W.

Or freeze it.

Needs to be burned down below the surface. I think I had it done once as a kid, there is still a scar on my hand. You used to be able to buy some kind of acid at the pharmacy and with a dropper you would slowly burn it off over a couple of weeks. Not sure if they still sell that stuff.

Cut the finger off. That will learn it. But yes, if you did not go deep enough, it will be back. Freeze it.

Probably. I've done the same, and they ended up coming back. A few treatments of salicylic acid got it gone.

Did you get the root? If not......it's coming back.

i had one on a knuckle too.. i only had it for a short time but it drove me nuts.. so one day after getting back to my vehicle after a deer hunt.. i pulled it off with a pair of needle nose pliers and dug everything out of it. so i had a little crater in my hand... never came back

Wrap duck tape around it, itll cut the air off to it and it will kill the wart. I have done it mulitiple times(to multiple warts) and it worked everytime, no wart and no scar make sure you change it everyday, so your finger doesn't stink.

You need to cut out the root of the wart.

Cut around it like you are cutting the stem off a tomato and it will go away if you are deep enough. You know if you are in non-wart tissue if it hurts like hell.

You can buy some strong Salicylic Acid wart treatment over the counter. This is the same stuff in some acne medicine, but at a far higher concentration. It will help eat away at the remaining bit of the wart, thus helping prevent it's re-growth.

Exactly. You can get a freezing kit at the drugstore.

Since you already cut it this is what you need to do.

1. Put a piece of duct tape on it.
2. Every day for the next week take a brush and scrub the shit out of it in the shower. It's gonna hurt and bleed but that's how you know it's working.

This should get rid of it if you can take out the root.

Use duct tape.

Depends on if you got the root.

But, yes - they're a virus.

You probably stuck your finger somewhere it didn't belong.

If it didn't hurt like a mother you didn't get the root. It usually is pretty deep.

I'm not sure but I think you'll definitely have a SCAR.

They run deep. It will most likely come back.

Get some of that acid junk. You should be able to get it out with proper use of that stuff. Takes a while though.

When I was in high school I had a bunch of warts on my hands and a big one on the bottom of my foot. I cut them off, tried burning them. (this was before Compound W) Dug them out with a knife etc. I had them for a couple years and then one day...poof! They simply disappeared. It was weird.

You would of been farther ahead to leave the wart and chop off that nasty ass foot

Most likely it will come back.

You'll need to dig the root out.

I recall when getting a wart removed from my elbow when I was a child. After the dr. removed it he showed it to me on a napkin. It had tentacles. Long tentacles that were black and probably 1" long and longer.

Maybe, maybe not. I picked one out of my thumb a couple of times. It bled like crazy the last time but I made sure I got all of it.

You have to get the core/seeds out. this usually involves digging, LOTS of bleeding, and pain. When you are done, there will be a hole in your finger and you will know that you excercised the demon by the amazement of what came out.

For whatever reason, they usually disappear later in life.

I used to have a bunch.

you have to get it all..... and they can get deep. I dug my last one out with an exacto knife, and it hasn't come back.

ymmv

had one on my knee got drunk one night cut it off with a razor. after it heals you should use the wart removal stuff on that spot. make sure to do it for several weeks. mine has never returned. that was 14 years ago.

I'm pretty sure I know how I got mine.

I accidentally stapled my finger while playing with a stapler. Where the left prong of the staple went into my hand a wart grew shortly thereafter.

In short, someone with HPV touched that staple, and that virus got into my finger.

You know... with all the fancy schmancy methods of removing warts, the only way that seems to work for me is to nuke 'em.

I heat the tip of an ice pick with a propane torch and then push it into the center of the wart, at least as deep as the bottom of the wart. This kills the root and wart all in one shot.
A day or so later the wart blisters and pulls right off, never to grow back again.

I go to the doc for that shit. I had a huge wart on my foot that made marching band painful. They injected acid in it, and it came right off. Never came back again.

It will keep coming back, but be persistent. I've cut off at least 4 small warts growing up. It never hurt cutting them off. But they kept growing back, so I kept cutting or tearing them off. Eventually they quit coming back.

Burn it then freeze it then burn it then freeze it then thaw it and it shouldn't.

There is a much easier way to do it, and alot less painful sounding.
Put some apple cider vinegar on a cotton ball and tape it over the wart overnight for a few consecutive nights, the wart will dry up, scab and fall off within about a week.
I thought that was bullshit untill I tried it, and ill be damned if it didnt work. The stuff only costs like $0.75 at commie-mart.

don't llisten to them...

soak cotton ball with apple cider vinegar..tape it to wart before you go to sleep..do this for a few nights and it will die and peel off..no scar...

Don't they make freeze kits you can buy over the counter that just freezes it and kills it?

I had a wart on my foot. I went to the doctor. He cut it off and froze the area. It never came back.
