I would think almost any of the ones on the market would be unpleasant, but I know we played around with them before up at camp and even a 1,000,000 volt one didnt put any of us down, just pissed us off.

.04 jueles (or .004 maybe, I can't remember) and 5, 000 volts will drop pretty much anyone. That is what Taser international has. It starts at 50,000 volts until it completes the circuit and then immediately drops to 5,000. 50,000 volts and .04 jueles (sic). would kill pretty much anyone.

Where you hit someone, what their skin and bulk body resistance is, how far apart the points of contact are.

People are different. You can have a 'guaranteed to drop anyone' amount of energy that far exceeds thresholds for certain areas and physiologies.
