Can anyone tell me about my FAL? I bought it about 10 years ago at a local gun show.

I can see some green and yellow paint in the vents of the forend that makes me think South African.

I found serial numbers on the lower, upper and bolt carrier that all match.

Is this a parts kit or imported whole?

My son came over for father’s day and we went out to the back 40 for some plinking.
He really likes the trigger of the AMT.

Serial number is not right for Rhodesia

The receiver has no brand marks.

Matching #'s are A0442. Underside, in front of the magwell is G118. On the right side of receiver is RA481 that is also stamped on the right side upper.

The left side upper also has FZ SA 7.62

If the upper and lower have the same serial numbers it's because someone stamped them that way here. There is no way that receiver could be the original to the gun.

Indeed, ten years ago there were, Imbel, Century, DSA, Coonan, and Enterprise, and they all mark their receivers respectively.
