Wasp spray after sundown. Then caulk it closed.

Fire.

I suggest spraying a lot of gasoline in there and throwing a match in. POOF! No more wasps.

Make sure your insurance is good first....

What's open concerning your soffit? Other than vents, mine's locked down.

I have seen them going in several places. Wasps dont need much of a gap do they? It's vinyl if it matters. 24ft up too

Get a wasp trap,

I have 2 at the ranch and havnt had major wasp issues in the last 2 years

looks like a plastic bee hive with small access holes
fill with apple juice and raw meat

draws in wasps and yellow jackets,

get the queens early in the spring and no more wasps most of the summer...very few anyways, I do find the occasioal nest in the barn

also, have whitel blue or gray soffits and porch ceilings and you're reduce nesting..cant build a nest on a cloud..

Put some Sevin dust in a dry, empty plastic bottle. Drill holes in the cap. Squeeze bottle to "poof" some dust up there. Dead wasps.

Get a small paper lunch sack, crumple up a page of newspaper and place it inside the bag. Twist top of bag until it looks like an upside down light bulb. Staple pointed end of bag underneath soffit. Wasps are highly visual creatures and will see bag as a rival wasp nest. They will leave.

I do this every year and never get wasps.

Leave them alone, let the queen make some more of those evil bastards, THEN kill them.
I cultivate those big red wasps all summer. Then the first cold morning in October, when they are all on the nest, BAM....2 cans of knockdown and kill ALL them MF'ers. Queen, workers, and babies; no one escapes the wrath of Texdiver.

Soapy water kills them DRT on the cheap. Find the nest then at sundown give them a good glass full.

Oh, I love teh fuckz outta those guys...

1) Broom handle

2) Old 2 lb coffee can

3) duck tape

4) amonia

5) profit

Instant death, faster than fire.

Now, to make it all explode, that would be fun.

CCI shotshells . From 8-12 feet. The .45 ACP ones will tear up too much, .22 LR will do just fine.

Unless you want to be spraying once a week for the remainder of the season - yes.

Section 8 the fascia to black ants. The wasps will move out in droves.

Well if you want to have fun doing it then go buy one of those cheap electric airsoft full auto machine guns. THe mini AR would be the obvious choice. An uzi or and ak would be acceptable. Get a bottle of airsoft BBs and appropriate batteries. Lock and load and stand back about 15 - 20ft from where the wasps are entering. I have mostly done this on nests built on the outside of the house but it should work. Blast the wasps as they hover and land. I have never had any figure out what is going on because I could stand far enough away. The hail of BBs should eventually whack one. When you hit them square they drop and do not come back up. You can cut the nest down (if it is visible) with a couple of minutes of blasting away at it. I dare you not to get a stupid grin on your face like this when you start knocking down wasps. A few might get freaked out and fly away before you kill them but they will be back. Of course you could just blast away with a real full auto AR if you have a class III and no neighbors. THe boring way would be to buy the foam spray and foam the places they are going in. As they try to go in or out it will get them or drive them away.

Find their entrance and spray some delta dust into and around it with a crusader duster. Some yellowjackets moved into my apartment wall last summer and this was the ONLY thing that worked. Destroyed all of them in a few days since they track it back into their nest. It also has the benefit of being waterproof.

This works. I use toilet paper tubes, but the same principle.

Some paper wasps look like yellow jackets. Paper wasps aren't nearly as crazy, thankfully. Yellow jackets will fuck your shit up for sure.

So does 1 cup of liquid dish detergent mixed in a gallon of water........ spray with pump garden sprayer. Knocks em right out of the air and foams up a hive real good.

Been there, done that.

Perhaps the worst experience with one of the little fuckers was screaming down a sweet downhill in the N GA Mtns on my mountain bike. Must have gone thru some kind of swarm. About 10 of the little bastards got inside the unzipped part of my jersey near the neck. I don't know if the repeated stings or the epic crash into the trees was worse.

1. Buy a couple cans of wasp killer. Get used to walking around the outside of your house every so often, bringing the murder.

2. Google "waspinator". They look weird but work. $5.

If you have time, a weed whacker, some beer and a buddy with his own weed whacker, get one going and hold up the weedwacker. It will zap them as they emerge. Your buddy's is backup in case yours takes a dive. They never see it coming.
