Error 500 when uploading photos

I've been trying to upload various photos the past two weeks and keep getting directed to 500 Error page. They're not huge file size-wise, so I don't know why I keep getting an error.
Any idea?
ETA: Got the picture to upload. Are dashes not allowed in the filenames?

Are you using the bulk uploader or single? Send me the photo and I'll try it... unless it's already been resolved, I'm slow...
