Does anyone else agree with me that the person being ignored in large numbers ought to be up for review by mods, and possibly have their account suspended for repeatedly angering others/probably violating the COC?

There are certain posters who are working their way towards GSFal status at the moment.

Can't agree.

I would imagine that if one were inclined to use the ignore feature (I never have and, even if I didn't moderate any forums, I don't think I would) there are plenty of reasons to put someone on ignore that have nothing to do with CoC violations or anything "actionable" in terms of site conduct and rules.

This ain't Survivor and nobody should be voted of the island for unpopularity by way of the IGNORE button IMO.

If they are actually repeatedly violating the rules, hit the REPORT button instead of the IGNORE button –– they'll be gone soon enough.

JMHO, YMMV.

Exactly, way to open to abuse and harassment. If they're that bad, report them or IM staff.

Or, call them to the pit to settle it like men.

(Didn't it use to be the loser in the pit was banned? A return to that would be nice.)

There probably is a correlation between high numbers of ignores and high numbers of reports.
