Depends on how many volumes of CO2 you want. LMK and I'll plug it into Beersmith.
2.2 volumes > 1.5 gallons=1.04 oz.

And use dry malt extracted if possible.

He'll have to use more than what I quoted if DME instead of corn sugar. I think it called for 1.4 oz of DME.
Thanks all. Trying to move 1.5 gals out of a 5 gal batch into a miller home draft bottle and carb. I was hoping to augment with CO2 but I got 12g instead of 16g cartridges. Hopefully I will be able to get this together before New Years Eve, but I know that's pushing it.

You'll have to force carb it with gas if you want to drink it by then.

All the more reason to keg it. Its better anyway.
Ok, used 1/4 cup of corn sugar to a little under 1.5 gals of beer. Yes that's on the high end of the scale. After that i went on a hunt for 16g CO2. Found some and managed to super pressurize the bottle. However, the shape is a tiny bit off in length and is slowly leaking. So I will have to either figure this out or move to paintball tanks sooner.
