Putting a sear on it


All done


It finished it's resting cook at 140


Done more medium rare than my goal of medium..... minimal blood in it

i put a fairly thick coat of granulated garlic, fresh cracked pepper, and kosher salt on the top side when it's roasting. it is amazingly good!!!

you are correct,. prime rib should be cook to a rare, then finished off in au jus if you want it cooked further, at least that's what we do....
