What kind of toaster was used to take these pics?

OP - The Alton Brown butter rub goes on the meat, not the the camera lens.
What the hell is up with your camera? I couldn't really make out anything in those pics...
i put a fairly thick coat of granulated garlic, fresh cracked pepper, and kosher salt on the top side when it's roasting. it is amazingly good!!!

you are correct,. prime rib should be cook to a rare, then finished off in au jus if you want it cooked further, at least that's what we do....
