Armenian/Turkish coffee?
Howdy folks,
The wife works with a large Armenian population and had been introduced to their coffee and LOVES it. I've been doing some reading online and as near as I can figure Armenian coffee is basically Turkish coffee with a little spice twist. I'd like to pick up the assorted tools necessary for making the brew for her for X-Mas. The question:
Does anyone here have any experience with the tools necessary and if so any recommendations on where to look to pick up the pot (ibrik), a couple of cups and maybe a grinder? I understand the coffee grind is key and it has to be damn near talcum powder consistancy. The good manual ones online are running around $100 just for the grinder, anything cheaper anyone can recommend?
Thanks all for you help and input!
Regards,
