Cool weather adds that certain something to all the hearty dishes that I don't often make in the Summer.

Beef stew
Shepherds pie
Clam chowder
Sausage and Kale soup
Gumbo
Chili
Chicken casserole
Hot and sour soup
Baked Ziti
French onion soup
Split pea soup
Jambalya
Chicken Makhani
Pasties

All are better when you come in from working outside on a chilly afternoon.

I really don't do recipes. I use what I have on hand which isn't always the same. I also cook more by taste and smell. Even when I try a new dish I don't use a recipe. I'll read ten different recipes for the same thing and then pick and choose what I feel is best for me and my family while maintaining the essential ingredients of the dish. I would either ask CHEF or go to allrecipes.com
