Where can you buy granulated onion?

Not onion powder.

Not minced onion.

Nope.

I'm looking for (dried) granulated onion. Coarser than powder, finer than minced.

McCormick used to sell it in those humongous shake/pour plastic spice containers, but I can't find those anywhere anymore.

There was a less-well-known brand called "Badia" that used to sell it, but the local store that had it on the shelves went out of business.

It goes perfectly with canned tuna fish (what - you got a problem with canned tuna fish?).

Somebody must still sell it. Anyone have a source?

Your searching skillz put mine to shame.

So I guess that McCormick still makes it, they just don't have it in stock in any local stores that I can find.

If you have a store called Smart n Final, they will have it. I sure wish I had one local. I only get to stock up on the spices when I am on a road trip.

Looks like they're all in CA and AZ.

I'll have to ask my brother to pick up a few bottles and bring them along the next time that he visits the East Coast.

(They used to sell "Badia" brand granulated onion at Waldbaum's FoodMart stores, but they shut down all of their Connecticut stores and seem to only be in business on Long Island (and I'm not gonna drive there - the typical dumb "get directions to our store" web pages all think that Long Island is just 30 miles or so away from my location - well, it is, but only if you have a boat.).

check you local ethnic stores. I buy my bulk spices at either the local Italian wholesaler or one of the local spice retailers. Sams club sometimes carries it too.

I was there today (Stratford, CT). They had a bunch of granulated garlic, but no granulated onion as far as I could see.

What store have you seen it in (if you don't mind destroying your geographic opsec, that is)?

Amazon.com should be the first stop, and first answer for anything that is "where can I buy" that isn't frozen or fresh veggies.
