Awww yeah. Yet another reason to own a cast iron skillet. Easy as hell to make:

Ingredients

Directions

Preheat oven to 375 degrees F.

Place 2 tablespoons of the melted butter into a 10-inch cast iron skillet and place in the oven. Set the remaining tablespoon of melted butter aside to cool slightly. Wait 10 minutes before assembling the other ingredients.

Place the flour, vanilla sugar, salt, milk, eggs and remaining tablespoon of melted butter into the bowl of a food processor or blender and process for 30 seconds. Carefully pour the batter into the preheated skillet. Bake on the middle rack of the oven for 30 to 35 minutes or until the edges are puffed and brown.

I eat with peanut butter & jelly.

Hmm. Interesting. What does it taste like? Cornbread? Cake? Plain ol' white bread?

What do you do with the lemon wedges? Or am I too tired to read it correctly?

I dont mess with those. I eat it with PB&J. It's basically a pancake so maple syrup should be GTG

Alton made a Dutch Baby on one of his shows, I think the one about Donuts. You remember it, the one where the crew member dressed up as a Dutch Maid and made google-eyes and threw kisses at Alton throughout the show.

Very similar to the recipe posted by the OP. (OP, you forgot to list how much vanilla to add to your recipe).

2 Large Eggs
½ Cup Milk
½ Cup AP Flour
½ Tsp Kosher Salt
3 Tbls Butter, Melted
3 Tbls Sugar
1-2Drops Vanilla
Preheat oven: 375F

************************************************************************************************************************************
1. Place 2 Tbls butter in a 10” cast iron frying pan and place in the oven while it is preheating.
2. Mix remaining ingredients until smooth.
3. Pour batter into the hot frying pan.
4. Bake for 30-35 minutes.
5. Cut into wedges and sprinkle with powdered sugar.

You're right. 1/2 tsp.

I tried it once and made a very ugly pancake. Need to give it another go.
