i ran into a brother on FB that was down on his luck from being laid off. long story short he was worse off than we imagined. I talked them into coming to our city christmas parade to help out with our lodge activity today. while he was here i tossed him some work on my car and we fixed his daughter up for christmas. It wasn't much but it made a big difference to his family.

Please remember that we have a lot of brothers out of work right now. Many to proud to ask for help. We exist to help our brothers. Lets not forget them during the holiday season.

Good on you man. It's always great when you can help out someone deserving of the help.

Good work Brother, that is a great example of how we take care of our fellow brothers. I am looking forward to a couple weekends from now our lodge will be putting together care packages for members in need and widows.

I wanted to say the same thing. Your zeal for Freemasonry is rarely matched.

we can't expect others to act if we don't show them how and push them to do it. Our lodge is booming right now because a few of us are holding people to their obligations. the passion and the energy is infectious and people are actually beginning to feel guilty about sitting on the sidelines not doing anything.

That's why I've called an officers only meeting for tomorrow. Every officer will know what his responsibility is, and what we are planning to accomplish. We repeatedly promise to do certain things for each other, we all need to be held to that.

Last night at Lodge, it was suggested that we form a "Sick and Distressed Committee" to call Brothers and visit them when they are down/ill. I stood up and volunteered to head up the committee, but I wasn't going to do anything different than what every other Brother whom knealt at the alter had the obligation to do.

Needless to say, we had quite a few "volunteers" after that.
