investigations
i just did an interview and to be honest this was my real first WTF moment for a masonic candidate. i feel like i need a shower.
Ummm details ?

No , butwe talked if you remember, so I was curious

we don't give such details
lets just say it was interesting
This should be funny.

Roy your the only one With a Pro-Pellor on your FEZ.
I've had some interesting ones over the years. Best answer I've had yet to "Why are you interested in becoming a Mason?". "I want to write a book about Masonic ritual and have connections with people that can hook me with deals."
lets just say i spent some time hearing about the coming race war...

Unbelievable.
Did you respond by saying "
Well....bye!"?
One guy we visited in his home had his "wife" there but not one stick of furniture.

Uhhhh.....just like Charles Manson?
10 min on google yesterday and i find he "misrepresented" the truth in regards to some direct questions i asked him during the interview.
brothers this just furthers my position that we really need to be care and do the investigations properly and completly. too many times i have sat and watched a commitee just OK a guy after a 10 min talk with no real checkout. then we wonder why shitbirds get into the lodge.

i can just see this guy wearing a shirt and ring and being the one guy they interview race relations and masonry.
I was raised April 29th & I've all ready learned to keep my mouth shut about my affiliation.
It appears there's a lot of

in my area when it comes to F&AM.

You will find that there are alot of

everywhere. Some, it to a lack of education regarding Masonry, but there are those who just need to wear hats made by Reynolds.

So what do you tell a candidate at the end of the interview in this situation?
i only tell them thank you and that i will be doing a complete check on them. my report goes to the lodge not the candidate.

thats a real shame. how are we as an organization going to grow if we are ashamed or unwilling to talk about it, because some tinfoil hatters? If I am in the right situation i mention it.
We've had a couple of them. I didn't personally do the interviews, but I heard about it.

how we we attract good men wanting to join if no one knows anything at all about us. Not everything we are and do is a secret. people SHOULD see us out in the community doing postive things as a lodge and as a fraternity. The mentality of "you can't discuss anything" is driving down the memebrship in a bad way.
yes there are times when such tings might apply, cuba and germany under hitler for example. it doesn't apply here... <at least right now>

Same as my area. You F&AM guys are whackos.
Now, us AF&AM guys.....we are the bee's knees!
ETA-See, we are so badass that we get to own page 2!
