So I went back and did a little shakedown and revamp of my fighting load. I had way too much stuff that I really didn't need (throw back to my deployment days with tons of crap i didnt need), so I condensed and re-prioritized my gear.
for my 1st and second line gear I actually added one sublayer. I took the holster from the battle belt and put it back on my leg. That way, I can drop EVERYTHING and still keep the handgun. I also retained the 3 mag hip panel on the left leg for an extra 3 mags. I kept this simply because I only run 3 mags on the plate carrier.
Next most important thing I did was add coms to both the belt and Plate carrier. Smaller radio on my belt is UHF band for team/ around the BOL coms. Since it is UHF band, this radio has more of an advantage in urban areas as well.
The second radio attached to the PC is VHF band and is primarily for longer range communication. It is programmed for HAM freqs as well as MURS. It also has the handy dandy freqs of NOAA weather.
Heres the breakdown:
On my person:
SERPA dropleg platform for my Desert Warrior 1911
Blackhawk 3 mag hip panel (not shown, I'll get a pic up)
Battle Belt:
VTAC Brokos battle belt
VTAC Cobra inner belt
ATS lo-pro suspenders
2 1911 mags in Blade-tec pouch
AR Mag in 5.11/ VTAC pouch
Motorola Radius P110 Radio/ mic (local and team coms, throat mic on the way)
GP pouch with extra batteries for radios and lights, 50 extra .45 rounds, and 1 day of MREs
Tactical Tailor Nalgene pouch and Nalgene bottle
Surefire G3
Cuda CQB-1 combat knife
GPS in Condor Pouch
Plate Carrier:
Level 4 SAPI plates
Front:
Tactical Tailor 3 mag pouch for AR
Tac Tailor Magna Mag 3 cell pistol pouch
HSGI bleeder kit (CAT, quick clot, Izzy bandage, shears)
Admin pouch with map tool and map of AO
Back:
TT kangaroo hydration pouch
TT med pouch filled with survival gear (firestarters, strobe, batteries, chem lights, water purification, ETC)
Motorola Saber 2 Radio for long range coms ( just ordered a hand mic)
ADS GP pouch (more survival gear and MRE's)
Brings me to a total of 8 AR mags (3 on PC, 3 on hip, 1 on belt, 1 in gun) 240 rounds total
6 1911 mags (3 on PC, 2 on belt, 1 in gun) 48 rounds total
This setup has alloowed me to streamline my gear and believe it or not, doesn't weigh a ton.

My rigs often get compromised and cannibalized for my work rig resulting from various changing needs I have there. Ive got my main rig, belt and pack in my locker at work and like a dozen various assortments at home. I started trying to make a main rig and belt for home, but it seems as soon as I find something new I like it goes straight to work where I will use it every day. I need to start buying things in twos I guess, but I have enough crap as it is. All those toughboxes are filled with gear too.
Vest in picture is a tactical tailor RAC plate carrier, with a VTAC Brokos belt, (which had the dump pouch and pistol mag tacos pulled off it like a week ago to go to work with me). Holster mount is a G-code RTI quick mount that I can use for my SIG, Glock, or HK compact (with serpa adapter). To the right is an Esstac Bush Boar A1 split front, wth panels for both 5.56 and 7.62.
This setup changes all the time, as sometimes I wear this stuff for work too.
what butt-pack is that on the back of your belt? I like that.

HSGI Modular 2qt canteen pouch. In the bottom pic I have it on the drop leg to carry a 500' roll of shock tube.
now I have to go get one...........
izzy how much water does your kangaroo hold? Looks like it would be fine for a winter setup, but summers in Texas needs alot more water!
Other than that looks like a nice setup! How does wearing a belt setup fit with a iba, iotv, plate carrier?
I always carry my water in my pack, not on my vest. If i'm wearing gear I always have a pack on as well, be it a tiny one or huge. The most I will carry on my kit itself is a nalgene pouch and bottle.
Water is heavy, and if I need to dump the majority of my weight for a few minutes I just dump the pack.
that's me. I've got a nalgene on the belt if I need to refill the kangaroo carrier
OP, nice set up. You've put some thought into it, and understand flexibiltiy and adaptability.
As far as weps go, you need to add a "mele" weapon; a baseball bat or something quiet for the one-offs that doesn't make a lot of noise and bring attention to you (this goes for both SHTF and Z-day).
Cheers,

Thanks. I appreciate the compliment. I put a lot of thought into this revamp and trim down.
Mele, huh? This is attached to my pack. Does it count?
