Iran wants Interpol warrants for Israel leaders

Iran's judiciary is demanding Interpol issue arrest warrants for 15 Israeli officials over what Teheran calls "war crimes" committed against Gaza Palestinians during the IDF's recent offensive in the territory.
Teheran prosecutor Saeed Mortazavi said an Iranian court set up to investigate Iranian complaints against Israel had provided Interpol with a list of Israeli leaders implicated in the 22-day offensive and details on the "charges" against them.
Iranian state television on Monday quoted the prosecutor as saying Prime Minister Ehud Olmert, Foreign Minister Tzipi Livni and Defense Minister Ehud Barak were on the list.
Others are top Israeli military officers involved in the Gaza conflict.

That list is a little weak. Avigdor Lieberman should be included just to beef it up a little.

While their doing that, they can issue one for Ahmy for all his hate speech. I understand that's a real no-no in Europe.

and what is Interpol going to do?
Fly into Israel and arrest them?
(really, i am a little curious as to what power Interpol has in this situation, are they just as powerless as the U.N.?)

Iran is pissed because Hamas(who Iran equipped and trained) got its ass handed to it by the IDF. It makes Iran look like the junker that it is. They need to do these little 'shows' to make them seem like they have any standing/power in the world.
